Job Title: Group Accountant (Maternity Cover)
Employment Type: Contract (Maternity Coverage: ~[6 to 8 months])
Location: Block 261, Waterloo Street, 8:30AM to 6:00PM

Job Overview

We are looking for a competent and reliable Group Accountant to provide coverage during a maternity leave period. The role supports group-level consolidation, reporting, and audit preparation across multiple business entities. You will work closely with the CFO and various stakeholders to ensure continuity and compliance in all reporting matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with monthly group consolidation across subsidiaries and business units.

  • Review entity-level financials and ensure consistency in reporting format and accounting treatment.

  • Prepare group-level financial reports, balance sheet schedules, and variance analysis.

  • Coordinate and monitor monthly and year-end closing, including journals and adjustments.

  • Liaise with both internal and external auditors and prepare supporting documents during audit cycles.

  • Monitor intercompany transactions and ensure proper elimination entries.

  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in reporting and internal control processes.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.

  • At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in group accounting and consolidation.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting systems (e.g., SAP).

  • Meticulous, organised, and able to work independently under tight timelines.

  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

  • Prior experience in a retail or multi-entity environment will be a plus.

Contract Period

Expected from September 2025 to April 2026, subject to the actual leave duration and handover schedule.
