Amberdale Asset Management is seeking an Accountant to support the Group Finance function across multiple entities within a privately-owned investment and operating group. We are hiring an Accountant to support the Group Finance function across multiple entities within a privately-owned investment and operating group.
This is a hands-on role suited for an accounting professional who enjoys working across multiple businesses, managing full sets of accounts, and partnering with stakeholders in a lean and dynamic environment.
This role covers:
Investment and holding entities – approx. 80%
Operating business within the sports and events industry – approx. 20%
You will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations of assigned entities, month-end financial closing, statutory compliance, and management reporting, while partnering with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
Maintain full sets of accounts for assigned entities.
Perform month-end closing, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare management reports and balance sheet schedules.
Perform intercompany reconciliations and support the preparation of group consolidation.
Assist with audits, tax filings, and statutory submissions (e.g. GST).
Record expenses, accruals, and general ledger transactions.
Support budgeting, cashflow tracking, and basic financial analysis.
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, and corporate service providers when required.
Handle operational accounting including AR/AP, revenue, and expense tracking.
Support payroll postings, staff claims, and cost allocations.
Assist with event-related finance tasks such as prize money preparation, staff allowances, and expense tracking.
Work closely with operations and sales teams on billing and collections.
Ensure proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
Maintain accuracy in accounting systems.
Support improvements to finance processes and internal controls.
Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Reporting Manager or Management.
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Minimum 4 years of full set accounting experience.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment.
Experience handling multiple entities / group accounting will be an advantage.
Good knowledge of Singapore accounting standards and GST reporting.
Strong attention to detail; well‑organised and hands‑on.
Comfortable working closely with operations and business teams.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
