Our client is seeking a Group Accountant to join their team!

About Our Client

Our client is a well-established investment company founded in 1970. With a rich history spanning over five decades, the company has evolved from its origins in marine transportation to become a key player in property development and strategic investments. Their portfolio includes investment properties and development projects in Singapore, Australia, and the Philippines. Listed on the Singapore Exchange since 1983, the company is committed to delivering long-term sustainable growth and value for its stakeholders.

What you'll be doing?

1. Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial, management, and regulatory reports for various stakeholders.
2. Consolidated Reporting: Provide timely and precise group consolidated reporting in accordance with IFRS and local statutory guidelines.
3. Accounting Management: Ensure timely recording of accounting transactions and manage reporting schedules.
4. Tax Compliance: Handle quarterly GST submissions, corporate tax, and other statutory matters.
5. Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with subsidiaries and associate companies on data requests and queries.
6. Financial Analysis: Identify and investigate anomalies, support budgeting processes, and analyze financial reports.
7. Auditor Liaison: Work closely with auditors and tax agents on financial and tax matters.
8. Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to junior staff in the Finance Team.

Who are they looking for?

1. Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, preferably with ACCA/ISCA certification.
2. Professional Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience, with SGX reporting experience being a plus.
3. Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and up-to-date knowledge of regulations and standards.
4. IT Skills: Strong computer literacy, especially in MS Office and Excel.
5. Analytical Abilities: Strong data analytical skills to support decision-making processes.
