Job summary

ByteDance in Singapore is seeking a Software Engineer Graduate (Global Payments) for a 2027 start. You will join the Global Payments team building a robust backend for cross-market money movement and payment workflows.

As a graduate, you will design, develop, test, and operate backend services, connect business systems with payment platform capabilities, and apply AI-assisted tooling to accelerate development. Onboarding date by year end is required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language such as Go, Java, C++, Python, or similar.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, databases, networks, or distributed systems.
• Ability to analyze complex problems, break them into components, and craft practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and operate high-quality backend services for global payment and financial systems.
• Build standardized capabilities across payments, refunds, settlement, merchant services, billing, and other money-movement workflows.
• Develop end-to-end payment solutions by connecting business systems with payment platform capabilities across markets and partners.
• Improve scalability, availability, performance, security, and observability of systems processing high-volume transactions.
• Apply AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate development, testing, debugging, incident analysis, and automation.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, data scientists, operations, and external partners to solve complex problems.
