Job summary

Gunvor Group Ltd in Singapore invites high‑potential graduates to join a 24-month Trading & Supply Chain Graduate Program, designed to provide hands‑on experience across the trading lifecycle with structured learning and meaningful responsibility.

You’ll complete three 8‑month rotations across Trading, Operations and Market Risk, gain international exposure, and develop commercial acumen through real projects and mentorship from seasoned professionals.

Qualifications

• Degree in a quantitative discipline (engineering, maths, stats, physics, finance, economics or CS).
• Up to 12 months of professional work experience (excluding internships).
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in global markets, commodities and geopolitics.

Our 24-month Trading & Supply Chain Graduate Program is designed to provide hands‑on experience across the trading lifecycle, combining structured learning, meaningful responsibility and exposure to different areas of our business.

You’ll work alongside experienced professionals across Trading, Operations and Market Risk, gaining first‑hand insight into how global commodity markets operate while developing the skills needed for a successful commercial career.

Your Journey

During the Program, you’ll complete three 8-month rotations, providing broad exposure to the core functions that enable our trading business to operate successfully.

You’ll be based in Singapore, with the opportunity to be considered for an international rotation in one of our global offices, such as Geneva, Houston, Tallinn or London, providing valuable international exposure and a broader perspective on our business.

Alongside your rotations, you’ll follow a structured development journey that combines technical learning, industry knowledge, and professional development. This comprehensive learning journey is designed to strengthen your commercial acumen and equip you with the interpersonal skills needed to succeed in a global trading environment.

What You’ll Do

Throughout the Program, you’ll:

• Work alongside professionals across Trading, Operations and Risk.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the physical and financial commodity trading lifecycle.
• Analyse market fundamentals, commodity flows and pricing dynamics.
• Contribute to commercial analysis, operational execution and business decision‑making.
• Collaborate across functions to solve complex commercial and operational challenges.
• Support the execution of trading strategies while gaining exposure to commercial decision‑making.
• Take ownership of meaningful projects from the beginning of your career.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for intellectually curious individuals with strong analytical capabilities, commercial curiosity and the ambition to build a career in global commodity markets.

You’ll ideally have:

• A Bachelor’s or A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science or another quantitative discipline.
• Up to 12 months of professional work experience, excluding internships.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem‑solving skills.
• A genuine interest in global markets, commodities and geopolitics.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Adaptability, resilience and a desire to learn and grow in a fast‑paced environment.
• Fluency in English.
• Previous internships or professional experience within commodities, energy, finance, banking, shipping, brokerage or other relevant commercial environments will be considered a strong advantage.

• Online Assessment – Complete online assessments, including a HireVue interview and numerical reasoning tests.
• Application Review – Assessment of your academic background, relevant experience and eligibility to work in the hiring location.
• Interviews – Virtual interviews with our Talent Acquisition team and business representatives to discuss your motivation, commercial awareness and potential.
• Assessment Day – Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a final in-person assessment centre, including interviews and practical assessments with our business teams.
