Job description

Responsibilities

The successful incumbent is expected to develop and grow Global Transaction Banking (Trade Services, Supply Chain Finance, Payments & Cash Management) revenues from corporate clients in Singapore and the rest of Southeast Asia, aligned with the bank's overall strategy. Primary focus will be on Trade Services for Corporates.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing comprehensive experience in Transaction Banking, including Trade Finance and Cash Management.
  • Collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders, demonstrating initiative, attention to detail, and adaptability.
  • Participating in the development of the Global Transaction Banking Asia strategy and translating it into actionable plans for Southeast Asia to meet targets.
  • Managing and developing a portfolio of corporate clients in Singapore, including Large Local Corporates and Multinational Corporates, with potential for Trade & Supply Chain Finance and cash management solutions, in collaboration with SG’s corporate coverage teams.
  • Providing trade advisory and support to facilitate trade & supply chain finance business with clients in Singapore.
  • Promoting cross-border synergies to enhance revenues from GTB globally.
  • Identifying opportunities for cross-selling products and services across other business lines of the SG Group to clients.

Profile requirements:

  • At least 5 years of banking experience, with 3-5 years in client-facing roles, specifically in trade finance.
  • Experience in trade finance and cash management in Singapore, including direct client relationships, product knowledge, and understanding of market conditions and competition.
  • Strong contacts within Singapore/SEA corporates and MNCs.
  • Ability to conduct effective client meetings and propose suitable solutions.
  • Sensitivity to risk issues including credit, operational, regulatory, and legal risks.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and facilitate teamwork across departments.
  • Willingness to develop regional business and support new product development locally.
