Job summary

Ampol Singapore Trading is seeking a dedicated finance professional to support end-to-end settlement activities for physical commodity transactions. The role covers invoicing, payment processing, cash application, and reconciliation, with strong controls and contractual compliance.

This is a full-time, eight-month contract starting ASAP. You will coordinate with Trade Accounting, Operations, Treasury, and other teams across time zones, ensuring timely settlements and accurate financial records.

Qualifications

2–5 years experience in commodity trading, shipping, trade finance, settlements, AR/AP or related finance functions.
Understanding of physical commodities trading processes.
Strong Excel skills.
Experience with ERP and CTRM systems (SAP, Allegro, Endur or similar).
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

Trade Settlements: process invoices, verify pricing and terms, generate AR invoices, process AP invoices, monitor pricing adjustments.
Accounts Receivable: monitor receivables, apply cash, resolve discrepancies, assist with overdue collections.
Accounts Payable: review payment docs, prepare payment requests, coordinate with Treasury, resolve failed payments.
Physical Trading Support: review contracts and settlement documents, process freight/demurrage costs, coordinate with Operations/Chartering/Treasury.
Reconciliations & Controls: maintain trackers, reconcile settlements and cash, resolve breaks, ensure policy compliance.
Month-End Activities: support close, report outstanding invoices and disputes, assist with audits.
