Job summary

Apeiron Bioenergy in Singapore is seeking a Group Trade Finance Officer to manage import and export trade finance activities across the group. You will handle LC issuance, amendments, negotiations, document checking, and related guarantees, ensuring compliance with UCP 600, ISBP, and internal policies.

You will coordinate with banks, suppliers, and internal teams; support treasury and cash flow planning; prepare trade finance reports and exposure summaries; and contribute to month-end closing

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in trade finance, banking, treasury, or related role
• Hands-on with import/export trade finance instruments
• Strong knowledge of LCs, guarantees, documentary collections, Trust Receipts, and trade loans
• Familiarity with UCP 600, ISBP, and international trade documentation
• Familiarity with shipping documents: BLs, invoices, packing lists, COO, insurance
• Sharp attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple transactions and deadlines
• Strong communication skills with banks and internal stakeholders
• Well-organised, disciplined, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Handle import/export trade finance instruments: LCs, Standby LCs, bank guarantees, documentary collections, Trust Receipts, and Bills Discounting
• Review, verify, and process shipping documents (invoices, packing lists, BLs, COO, insurance)
• Maintain complete trade finance files, agreements, and bank correspondence
• Monitor LC expiry dates, shipment deadlines, and document presentation windows for timely compliance
• Ensure transactions comply with UCP 600, ISBP, and internal policies; support KYC/AML requirements
• Process trade loan drawdowns, Trust Receipt financing, and repayments; assist with cash flow planning
• Prepare trade finance reports, exposure tracking, and management summaries; liaise with banks and suppliers
• Support month-end closing activities and undertake ad-hoc projects as assigned
