Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced, motivated and resourceful person to join our Global Business Development team in Singapore as a Global Trade Director, Infrastructure & Cleantech for the Indo-Pacific. In this role, you will leverage your extensive regional and professional networks, business development skills, personal industry expertise and knowledge of Canadian capabilities and global supply chains to generate and nurture new business opportunities for Canadian exporters and investors.
The Global Trade Director will work with a virtual team to establish relationships with leading buyers in the Indo Pacific region, assess their procurement needs and introduce Canda's most innovative suppliers and service providers with the goal of promoting and introducing these Canadian companies to business opportunities in the region.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of sector, international procurement practices and some knowledge of Canadian capabilities in the Infrastructure and Cleantech sectors. This expertise will be applied across a spectrum of industry verticals where companies are aggressively seeking solutions to address the need for low-carbon energy, scarcity of water and other natural resources while decreasing the carbon intensity of their operation.
