Job summary

Jobtailor is hiring for an export compliance role in Singapore. You will perform export compliance screening and serve as the primary contact for trade compliance, ensuring shipments meet EAR and local regulations.

You will monitor, screen, and maintain records across supply chains, collaborating with authorities and business partners. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in logistics or trade operations, a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree, and knowledge of SAP/SAP-GTS.

Perform export compliance screening and be the single point of contact for trade compliance.
Monitor shipments for import/export compliance and maintain records.
Conduct Denied Party List and other screenings for new partner creation.
Track license determinations in SAP-GTS and apply for licenses where applicable.

Job description

Responsibilities

Perform export compliance screening activities and serve as a single point of contact for trade compliance
Ensure supply chain compliance with US Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Singapore Strategic Goods Control Regulations and other applicable trade requirements
Monitor and review shipments for import/export compliance, reporting and recordkeeping requirements
Conduct Denied Party List and other compliance screenings for new partner creation
Research customers’ and end-users’ business profiles and industries
Track license determinations in SAP-GTS and apply for export licenses with US and Singapore export agencies where applicable
Interface with Singapore Customs and other competent authorities to facilitate shipments
Assist with maintaining Strategic Trade Scheme (STS) and Secured Trade Partnership (STP) Programs
Respond to business stakeholder and trade agency enquiries
Monitor US and local trade legislation updates and assess business impacts
Deliver targeted compliance training to business stakeholders
Perform targeted audits and reviews on business units
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum 1-2 years working experience in logistics, supply chain, procurement, customer service or trade operations is preferred
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
Diploma / Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained
SAP / SAP-GTS experience is a plus
Knowledge of relevant trade laws & regulations is a plus
Knowledge of Singapore Customs’ schemes i.e. STP/STS is a plus
Experience in customs brokerage, logistics or other trade operational is a plus

Core Competencies

Demonstrates expertise in export compliance screening and supply chain compliance with US and Singapore trade regulations. Proficient in conducting audits, delivering compliance training, and interfacing with customs authorities.
