The Retail Training Team is responsible for the Training and delivery to over 4,000+ Dyson Experts and Stylists in over 80 countries worldwide. About the role
As our Global Retail Training, Assistant Manager, you will need to understand the Global Retail Training Strategy and landscape at Dyson and your primary focus will be towards New Product Development (NPD) Retail Training. You will rely on the ability to design, develop, and implement an outstanding learning solution.
You will be crucial to ensuring quality training toolkits are designed and delivered in line with Commercial and NPD launch plans, owning the end-to-end training process, being involved at the start of a launch all the way through to completion, including any adaptations and translations guidance for specific markets as well as any further development work thereafter. You will be part of the Group Retail Excellence Team, working with and reporting to a Head of Global Retail Excellence.
You will work in partnership with the category, group revenue and retail teams to finetune the training MVP and roll out all training curriculum whilst advising on training best practices. You will create cutting-edge, digital training content, working with our eLearning design partners and Dyson Learning Management System Team.
You will train the trainers and extend support to regional trainers and trainers in markets. And you will connect with the global training community, to gain insight and best practice on what training tools are required for the future, ensuring what exists now is fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities
Training Content Creation
Develop market-relevant and engaging training content for new product launches
Design, develop, and implement cutting-edge digital training modules in collaboration with eLearning design partners and the Dyson Learning Management System (LMS) team.
Ensure training content is aligned with commercial and product launch plans, owning the end-to-end process from development to deployment.
Oversee content localization and translation, ensuring materials are regionally relevant while maintaining Dyson’s brand and training standards.
Deployment & Market Support
Work with market teams to drive deployment and adoption of training materials.
Ensure that training content is easily accessible and actionable for retail teams.
Provide hands-on support to regional trainers and in-market trainers as needed.
Trainer Enablement
Train the trainers and extend support to regional trainers and in-market trainers across Dyson’s retail teams.
Provide coaching and upskilling for local trainers, ensuring high standards of product, service, and sales training.
Build a network of highly capable retail trainers to maintain Dyson’s high training standards across global markets.
Establish a training dashboard to track training engagement, completion rates, and effectiveness.
Collect and analyze training insights to measure impact and identify areas for improvement.
Work with regional and market teams to ensure data-driven decision-making in training development.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
Good understanding of training principles, methodology and evaluation frameworks.
Experience working in a retail environment (ideally globally)
Solid experience designing blended training curriculum
Familiarity with AI-driven tools for training content creation, localization, and digital content enhancement is a strong advantage
An understanding of Adult Learning Theories/Generation learning styles
Preferably a CIPD qualification (e.g., Level 3 Foundation Certificate, Level 3 QCF, Level 5 Intermediate Certificate, or Level 5 QCF)
Strong coaching ability with a hands-on approach.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, collaboration skills, and change management skills.
