Job summary

OSL is seeking a Global Onchain and AML Operations Lead with 8+ years of experience in financial crime, transaction monitoring, and crypto analytics. You will own the blockchain monitoring architecture, draft SOPs, and lead complex investigations to support regulatory compliance.

In this leadership role you will collaborate with regional MLROs, legal, product, and engineering teams to align monitoring parameters with Travel Rule mandates, licensing applications, and global expansion plans.

We are seeking a Global Onchain and AML Operations Lead with a minimum of 8 years of experience across financial crime compliance, transaction monitoring, and crypto-native analytics.

In this leadership role, you will take full ownership of our blockchain monitoring architecture, author core operational SOPs, establish manual review benchmarks, and lead complex investigations. You will serve as the technical compliance authority, bridging on-chain analytics with regulatory requirements and directly supporting regional MLROs across global expansion markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, calibrate, and optimize enterprise-grade KYT monitoring rules, risk-scoring engines, and alert thresholds across major blockchain analytics platforms to minimize false positives while capturing high-risk typologies.
• Draft and maintain institutional-grade SOPs, manual review standards, quality assurance (QA) frameworks, and escalation workflows for the global AML operations team.
• Lead deep-dive forensic investigations into high-risk wallet networks, sanctioned entities, mixers/tumblers, cross-chain obfuscation, and DeFi/DEX exposure; author evidentiary summaries for SAR/STR filings.
• Partner directly with regional MLROs and legal advisors to align on-chain monitoring parameters with regulatory mandates, Travel Rule protocols, and licensing applications.
• Direct the integration of blockchain analytics APIs into internal case management systems alongside Product and Engineering teams to maximize operational throughput.

Key Qualifications:

• 8+ years of progressive experience in AML operations, financial crime compliance, or regulatory investigations, with at least 3-5 years strictly focused on Web3, digital assets, or crypto exchanges.
• Advanced expertise and hands-on power-user capability with enterprise blockchain intelligence tools (e.g., Chainalysis KYT, TRM Labs, Elliptic).
• Demonstrated track record of building operational compliance functions from the ground up, including writing SOPs, setting escalation policies, and designing review criteria.
• Thorough working knowledge of global AML/CFT standards, FATF guidance, FinCEN rules, state-level MSB requirements, and Travel Rule frameworks.
• CAMS, CCAS, or advanced vendor certifications (e.g., Chainalysis CKA/CKR, TRM Advanced).
