Job summary

CFA Institute in Singapore is seeking an experienced Chief Investment Officer / Investment Director to shape portfolio strategy and drive investment performance. You will own discretionary and advisory portfolios across global equities, fixed income, and multi-asset strategies.

Lead portfolio construction, asset allocation, risk management, and investment decision-making while conducting research, manager due diligence, and market analysis.

Qualifications

• 12–18 years of investment management or multi-asset investing experience.
• Discretionary portfolio management experience with authority over asset allocation.
• Proven P&L ownership and track record of portfolio performance.
• Strong expertise in portfolio construction, asset allocation, and risk management.
• Experience across equities, fixed income, and multi-asset strategies.
• Experience with private banks, asset managers, family offices, wealth managers, or institutional platforms.
• Hands-on approach with ownership mentality and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of discretionary and advisory portfolios across global equities, fixed income, and multi-asset strategies.
• Lead portfolio construction, asset allocation, and investment decision-making processes.
• Monitor portfolio performance and implement portfolio adjustments to optimize risk-adjusted returns.
• Conduct investment research, manager due diligence, and market analysis.
• Present investment recommendations and portfolio reviews to sophisticated clients and internal stakeholders.
• Partner with relationship managers to deliver tailored investment solutions.
• Contribute to investment governance, risk management, and compliance processes.
• Drive enhancements to investment frameworks, reporting capabilities, and research methodologies.
• Represent the investment function in client meetings and industry engagements.
• Build and strengthen the firm's investment platform.
