Job Title: Global Marine Logistics Manager – Ship Spares

Department: Marine Logistics
Location: Singapore, Bukit Batok
Reports To: General Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Global Marine Logistics Manager – Ship Spares to manage the end-to-end logistics process for ship spare parts and equipment. The role requires strong coordination skills to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective delivery of critical spares to vessels worldwide, often under tight schedules and operational constraints. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in maritime logistics, customs regulations, and vendor coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute global logistics operations for ship spares, tools, and consumables.

  • Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs agents, and port authorities to arrange transportation and clearance of spare parts.

  • Track and expedite urgent deliveries to vessels in port, anchorage, or offshore locations.

  • Ensure accurate and complete shipping documentation (airway bills, invoices, packing lists, import/export declarations).

  • Optimize transportation methods (air, sea, courier, hand-carry) to meet vessel schedules and reduce logistics costs.

  • Maintain real-time visibility of shipments and communicate ETAs to vessel managers and technical superintendents.

  • Handle warranty returns, customs re-imports, and bonded warehousing when required.

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels at hub ports or central spare parts warehouses.

  • Ensure compliance with international trade and transport regulations, including IMDG and export control laws.

  • Maintain KPIs on delivery performance, freight cost control, and customs compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies, Logistics, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in marine logistics, ideally in ship spares handling.

  • Familiarity with global marine port operations, bonded shipments, and customs clearance processes.

  • Strong understanding of INCOTERMS, HS codes, and import/export documentation.

  • Proficient in ERP/logistics software (e.g., ShipNet, ABS Nautical Systems, SAP, AMOS, or similar).

  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize urgent shipments, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Flexible to support logistics across different time zones and occasionally outside business hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with ship managers, technical departments, or shipping agencies.

  • Dangerous Goods (DG) handling certification (e.g., IMDG Code awareness).

  • Knowledge of maritime spare part classifications and common OEM suppliers.

  • Multilingual ability (e.g., English + Chinese) to liaise with our oversea counterpart.
