Job summary

GIC is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to join their External Managers Department in Singapore. You will build and manage discretionary global macro exposures, form macro views, and lead risk discussions within a collaborative team.

You will engage with top investment managers, conduct thorough diligence, and design investment mandates while shaping investment strategies. A flexible mix of in-office and remote work is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience as a portfolio manager, sub-PM, or analyst in a discretionary Macro portfolio.
• Background in rates, FX, or cross-asset Fixed Income trading or as a Macro strategist.
• Strong commercial instinct with a focus on returns and risk management.
• Ability to form independent views and communicate them effectively.
• Quantitative skills for financial modeling and portfolio analysis.
• Credibility to engage with senior investment leaders.
• Team player with a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a portfolio of discretionary global macro exposures.
• Form macro views and translate them into portfolio strategies.
• Lead discussions on risk management and portfolio construction.
• Conduct thorough diligence on investment opportunities.
• Design and negotiate investment mandates and structures.
• Continuously assess and adjust investment theses.
• Present recommendations to the Investment Committee.
