Position Overview
As the Global Head of Publishing, you will be responsible for building and executing the company’s worldwide publishing strategy. You’ll lead a cross-functional publishing team spanning user acquisition, product marketing, community, player support, and regional market strategy. This role requires a strong blend of creative thinking, data-driven decision-making, and deep understanding of gaming markets and player behavior across regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the global publishing strategy for all mobile game titles.
- Oversee the full publishing lifecycle: pre-launch planning, go-to-market execution, live operations support, and post-launch performance optimization.
- Lead and manage global publishing teams including marketing, UA, community, CRM, regional publishing, and player support.
- Partner with game development and product teams to align publishing roadmaps with content, feature releases, and live ops strategies.
- Analyze market trends, player insights, and campaign performance to refine publishing strategies and maximize engagement and monetization.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with platform partners (E.g. Apple, Google), influencers, media, and regional agencies.
- Drive brand positioning, narrative development, and creative direction for each title’s marketing efforts.
- Oversee global budgets, regional P&Ls, and publishing KPIs to ensure ROI-driven execution.
- Spearhead international expansion efforts and adapt campaigns for local markets, ensuring cultural and market relevance.
- Champion a player - first mindset across all publishing activities, ensuring the voice of the player is reflected in everything we do.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in game publishing, marketing, or user acquisition with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven success in launching and scaling games globally (ideally across multiple regions).
- Deep understanding of global gaming markets, especially APAC, North America, and EMEA.
- Strong leadership and people management skills; experienced in building and mentoring high-performing teams.
- Data-savvy with experience in analytics tools, marketing dashboards, and A/B testing frameworks.
- Ability to balance creative instincts with analytical rigor and business impact.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Passionate about games, with a deep appreciation for player communities and game culture.
