Global Engineering Center Manager

Partner with the best

As the Manager of the Global Engineering Center, you will oversee activities related to the design and development of products, solutions, and systems within Baker Hughes’ Surface Pressure Control business, delivered from SPC Engineering Centers in Asia Pacific and South America.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing a team (Engineers, Designers, Analysts) across SPC Engineering Centers, supporting Engineering-to-Order, Standardization, Engineering Analysis, and documentation.
• Monitoring and driving KPIs such as On-Time Delivery, Yield, First-Time Yield, and COPQ.
• Assessing team members' competencies and implementing training and development plans.
• Ensuring compliance with Engineering QMS, Best Practices, and Standards across the organization.
• Minimizing variance between as-sold and as-executed engineering and product costs.

Qualifications for success

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
• At least 7 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry and 3+ years in Design Engineering Management with a global scope.
• Minimum 5 years as a Product Design Engineer in a Surface Wellhead company.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as API 6A, API 16A, NACE MR0175.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Experience leading programs/projects, with documented project management skills.
