Job summary

Brighton College (Singapore) is seeking a highly qualified EAL teacher with international education experience to join our expanding team. The role focuses on building and maintaining an effective EAL program, supporting students with English language needs, and enabling independent access to our curriculum.

You will co-teach, co-plan, co-assess and co-reflect with year group classroom teachers, develop inclusive lessons, differentiate instruction, and foster strong relationships with students,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or equivalent.
• Endorsements/qualifications for working with English Language Learners (ELL).
• Verifiable training in Functional Behaviour Assessment (FBA) and Language Support Plans (LSP).

Responsibilities

• Developing trusting and effective relationships with all students and parents.
• Establishing professional relationships with co-teachers and teaching assistants.
• Maintaining supportive working relationships with all staff and school community.
• Being a visible presence across the school and representing Brighton College (Singapore) externally.
• Coordinating parent meetings to review student progress.
• Planning, delivering and reviewing EAL classes and activities for students.
• Using a range of teaching strategies including co-planning, co-teaching and co-assessing.
• Applying varied grouping strategies (whole class, small group, partner and individual work).
• Differentiating to meet student needs and ensuring a well-resourced teaching environment.

Education
