Job summary

Brighton College (Singapore) is seeking an experienced English as an Additional Language (EAL) teacher to join our international school community. The role focuses on building and maintaining a successful EAL program for students across language levels and collaborating with classroom teachers to support curriculum access in English.

Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to build trusting relationships with students and families.
Ability to work with co-teachers and teaching assistants.
Experience supporting English language learners (EAL) in international education.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain an effective EAL program for beginners to intermediate learners.
Prepare EAL students to access the curriculum in English.
Co-teach, co-plan, co-assess and co-reflect with year-group classroom teachers.
Coordinate parent meetings to review student progress.
Deliver engaging EAL classes and activities using diverse teaching strategies.
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
Ensure a well-managed, resourced teaching environment.
Promote Brighton College (Singapore) and Cognita values across the school.
