Job Description Summary
The Global Demand and Supply Planner – Repairs Hot Gas Path works cross-functionally to understand capacity and determine the strategy around utilizing available capacity for each of the manufacturing sites that support the segment. The person also owns the demand signal within a segment by analyzing forward looking and/or historical models to represent expected global demand over the planning horizon. This scope incorporates input from HDNU, Services and Repairs business lines and translates inputs into a consolidated global demand signal that informs the supply plan. The planner is a vital connection with the Materials Management Organization (MMO) Segment to fulfill current and future demand effectively as well as manage the phase-in/phase-out of change management.
Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage creation of demand signal that satisfies customer needs while aligning to safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets of the business.
  • Manage creation and maintenance of supply capacity models for all key constraints within the segment while aligning to the targets of the business
  • Keep ERP systems and tools up to date and accurate to the current supply capacity
  • Partner with the demand planning, factory, purchasing and finance teams to facilitate cross-functional alignment through transparent discussion and decisions
  • Manage relationships with MMO Segment, factories and value stream leaders to support execution and proactively optimize capacity constraints for business objectives
  • Track forecast accuracy and drive process improvement to optimize demand signal within the segment.
  • Demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals/programs/processes for a supply planning segment
  • Use experience and expertise to solve problems.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
  • 8+ years of experience in manufacturing / supply chain
  • 5+ years of experience specifically in fulfillment / material planning / scheduling function
  • Those with diploma qualifications coupled with at least 10 years in a similar capacity and/or experience in manufacturing, supply chain, material planning, fulfillment and scheduling function would be considered.
  • Proven capability with materials management disciplines including S&OP
  • Knowledge of Gas Turbine maintenance, Hot Gas Path & Power Plant operational experienced are essential to this role.
