Job summary

Seagate Technology is seeking a Customer Quality Sustaining Sr. Staff Engineer to lead a global customer support team focused on HDD product quality across the lifecycle.

You will coordinate with Customer, Field Engineers, Design Center Customer Quality, and Factory Technical Support to resolve quality issues efficiently. You will own business and quality metrics, drive issue resolutions, and serve as the primary contact for sustaining activities including DPPM, ARR, AFR, and escalations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and 12+ years of experience.
• Master’s degree in engineering with 8+ years of experience or PhD with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience in Hard Disk Drive industry.
• Ability to develop, interpret, and manage DPPM, AFR, ARR metrics.

Responsibilities

• Lead a global customer support team to deliver best-in-class HDD product quality across the lifecycle.
• Establish and maintain cross-functional communication for rapid resolution of customer quality issues.
• Manage quality deliverables and metrics for assigned accounts; drive internal communications and corrective actions.
• Serve as primary point of contact for sustaining activities: DPPM, AFR, ARR, escalations, and reporting.
• Prepare and present customer presentations and reports with clear technical messaging.
• Support new product qualifications and ensure seamless integration with customer satisfaction.
• Advocate for the customer across Seagate, coordinating with global teams and customers.
• Travel to customer sites and manufacturing facilities as required.
