Role Objective

Reporting to the CFO, The Group controller is an integral member of the Group Finance Leadership, with the primary objective of driving financial performance of the Group by providing strategic financial oversight, ensuring disciplined execution, and proactively partnering with regional and functional teams. A successful Group Controller leads an effective and efficient Controllership function, ensures a cadence for timely actionable financial information and analysis reviews with regional leadership. The Controller must have the gravitas to challenge assumptions, escalate issues when necessary, and maintain a strong performance rhythm through robust tracking and follow-up.

Group (Ennovi and Interplex)

Working Relationships

  • Regional and Corporate Finance. Direction and close interaction, including for on-boarding, and special exercises such as restructuring, taxation and treasury matters.
  • Site Finance. Understand organization, processes and business/ERP systems.
  • Business Managers and operations: Provide hands-on financial guidance and commercial support. Where necessary, assist liaison and commercial negotiations with external strategic counterparties.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead weekly performance reviews across the Group and ensures consistent tracking of key financial KPIs (revenue, EBITDA, EBIT, working capital, OCF)
  • Identify performance gaps early, drive root cause analysis, and ensure timely mitigation plans are in place
  • Escalate critical issues to the CEO/CFO with actionable insights
  • Oversee timely and accurate consolidation and reporting of Group financial results
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and Group accounting policies
  • Provide to the CEO/CFO, monthly variance analysis and business commentary
  • Parter with regional controllers and business leaders to ensure accountability and financial discipline
  • Act as a “challenger” to budget assumptions, forecasts and investment cases to drive value creation
  • Influence decision-making through data-driven insights and financial leadership
  • Drive annual budget and monthly forecasting cycles in alignment with strategic objectives
  • Ensure forecasts are realistic, risk-adjusted and linked to actionable plans
  • Provide leadership to regional finance teams, fostering a high performance culture.
  • Strengthen financial processes and capabilities across the Group.
  • Ensure accuracy of Parts costing and GP margins by maintaining and/or monitoring key controls over BOM, Routings, labour and overhead absorption rates.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial outlook/forecast (PNL and Cash Flows) by implementing a consistent and structured process throughout the Group, ensuring that regional finance teams maintain close communication and information transfer between line management and relevant functions such as production planning/ operations, sales, supply chain and HR.
  • Promote good governance and culture of sound financial management at the site. Enforce compliance to internal controls and accurate financial reporting

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CA, or equivalent qualification preferred
  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, manufacturing environment in a multi-country operations environment is a pre-requisit
  • Proven track record in driving financial performance, leading cross-regional teams, and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, performance management and internal controls
  • High degree of integrity, assertiveness and a hands-on approach
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen
  • Resilient, results-oriented and comfortable with challenging status quo
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence at all levels
  • Proactive, with a sense of urgency and accountability
