Job summary

Kepler Search is partnering with a leading global commodities trading house to hire a Settlements Officer in Singapore. This role covers the full settlement cycle across physical and financial trading, including trade reconciliation, confirmations, invoicing, margin calls, credit exposure monitoring and emissions physical delivery.

The candidate will work closely with trading, risk, treasury, credit, operations and finance, as well as brokers, exchanges and external counterparties to ensure

Qualifications

• Around 4–7 years in trade finance operations, settlements or trade support.
• Strong grasp of physical trade documentation, payments and counterparty processes.
• Exposure to derivatives, margin or collateral is a strong plus.
• Experience with energy, carbon or environmental products is a bonus, not a requirement.
• Bank professionals keen to move closer to the commercial side of a trading business are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full settlement cycle across physical and financial trading: reconciliation, confirmations, invoicing.
• Manage margin calls and credit exposure monitoring.
• Coordinate emissions physical delivery.
• Collaborate with trading, risk, treasury, credit, operations and finance, as well as brokers and exchanges to ensure timely settlements and compliance.
