As part of the GSET Engineering team, Production Engineering partners with trading desks to support execution services for the firm and its clients. The team includes technical support and DevOps specialists focused on production platform monitoring, incident and risk management, and automation of software releases and operations.

This role places you at the heart of our electronic trading business. Technical support specialists assist in the daily operations of electronic trading systems and trading desks, interacting closely with Trading & Sales business users. As part of a global support team, you will provide operational and technical assistance for GSET applications and infrastructure, supporting both external clients and internal users. Additionally, you will oversee all components of the production environment to identify and resolve issues, assess system change risks, and improve supportability.

As a DevOps specialist, you will be responsible for developing and supporting a Python-based configuration, resource allocation, and deployment system for the electronic trading platform. You will collaborate with external developers to design and implement onboarding processes for applications into this framework.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Job Summary

• Provide critical daily production support, incident, and crisis management for large-scale, distributed systems.
• Ensure thorough incident response throughout the incident lifecycle.
• Manage operational risks in a complex, fast-moving equities trading environment.
• Proactively monitor system availability and health.
• Support services pre-launch through system design consulting, reviewing platforms, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
• Enhance existing or develop new production support tools and release management systems.
• Collaborate with a global team across the Asia Pacific region and beyond on local and global initiatives.

Skills We’re Looking For

• Solid knowledge and experience in incident management lifecycle.
• Systematic problem-solving skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong analytical skills to break down complex issues and propose solutions.
• Experience supporting electronic trading environments or systematic algo trading is preferred.
• Proficiency in UNIX/Linux environments.
• Python programming skills are preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with experience working in global teams.
• Ability to communicate technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
• Capability to handle multiple tasks independently and collaboratively within a dispersed team.
