Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will be responsible for managing general ledger activities, including journal entries, fixed asset schedules, and month-end closing.

Description

  • Handle day-to-day general ledger activities and month-end closing processes
  • Maintain and update the fixed asset register in compliance with accounting standards
  • Manage balance sheet schedules including accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
  • Assist in the preparation of indirect tax submissions (e.g. GST) and audit schedules
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders on capital expenditure matters
  • Support financial reporting and perform other ad-hoc finance tasks as assigned

Profile

A successful GL Executive should have:

  • A diploma/degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Demonstrates strong independence and accountability in managing responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Good communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive attitude towards improving processes and systems.
