Geriatric Medicine Physician (Senior Resident)

Job summary

The doctor will be part of the Geriatric Medicine team at NHG Health, providing first-line clinical coverage while guiding junior doctors with broad and deep clinical expertise. He/She will assist in running clinics and help perform procedures as allowed by senior doctors.

We are seeking a physician who is in active clinical practice, holds an accredited basic medical degree, and has postgraduate qualifications; Singapore Medical Council registration is required.

Qualifications

• Be in active clinical practice.
• Have a basic medical degree from an accredited medical university or medical school.
• Recognised postgraduate qualifications (e.g. MRCP) would be an added advantage.
• Have at least 3 years of post housemanship working experience as a medical officer (or equivalent) in the relevant field/specialty or possess a postgraduate medical qualification in the relevant/ field/specialty.
• Have been registered as a medical practitioner with the Singapore Medical Council.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line clinical coverage as part of the Geriatric Medicine team.
• Handle more complex cases and guide junior doctors with broad and deep clinical knowledge.
• Assist in running clinics and carry out procedures or operations as permitted by senior doctors.
