Job Description:

We are seeking a Geotechnical Instrumentation Engineer to lead and manage all aspects of geotechnical instrumentation projects, from installation to data analysis and reporting. This role requires strong technical, project management, and client-facing skills, especially in large-scale infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Installation
  • Propose engineering documents for client approval.

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate geotechnical instrumentation projects.

  • Obtain permits and oversee on-site installation, setup, and commissioning of monitoring systems.

Site Supervision & Execution
  • Lead, supervise, and manage on-site personnel for instrumentation works.

  • Ensure accurate data collection, calibration, and sensor/equipment installation.

Data Management & Reporting
  • Review and process monitoring data, ensuring quality and accuracy.

  • Maintain and update data platforms, instrumentation drawings, and web-based databases.

  • Prepare and submit reports as required by project specifications and client contracts.

Client Coordination & Compliance
  • Liaise with clients regarding installation, monitoring, and data-related issues.

  • Produce documentation including method statements, project quality plans, and health and safety records.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Geology recognized by the Professional Engineers Board.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in geotechnical instrumentation and site investigation within major infrastructure projects.

  • Proficiency in data analysis, report writing, and instrumentation systems.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
