Job summary

Prize Laser Welding Pte. Ltd. seeks a Workshop Assistant to support daily operations in our Tampines workshop.

The role focuses on logistics, basic testing, and preparing goods for welders, with an emphasis on meeting schedules and maintaining safety. Local Singaporean and Work Permit holders are eligible to apply. No prior experience is required as on-the-job training will be provided; good English communication is required, and Mandarin ability is a bonus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading and unloading of goods using a forklift to move heavy items.
• Assist with basic leak testing for welded goods to ensure leak-proof quality.
• Prepare goods for welders by cleaning and deburring surfaces as needed.
• Assist with packing of goods for delivery and shipment.
• Keep track of welding consumables and notify when stocks are low.
• Maintain a tidy workshop and assist with front-of-house tasks for walk-ins.

We are looking for a WorkshopAssistant who is responsible, organised and have good communication skills. TheWorkshop Assistant shall help with various tasks in our workshop in order tofacilitate the delivery of goods.

Locals (Singaporean), Work Permit Holders are eligible to apply. All gendersand age groups (Min. eligible working age) are welcome.

• We are a small workshop specializing in metal works and welding
• Small group of responsible workers, no politics and open-mindedculture
• Work environment can be rugged and small, but we have flexiblework culture. Any opinions or suggestions are welcome to improve the operationsand for us to grow together.
• We are located in Tampines Industrial Park A, Tampines St 93(Nearest MRT station is Downtown line: Tampines West)

Job Description andResponsibilities:

• Assist with loading and unloading of goods (We have a forkliftto facilitate moving of heavy goods)
• Assist with performing basic leak testing for welded goods toensure it is leak proof (Machine uses low air pressure, easy to operate)
• Assist with preparation of goods for welders (E.g Clean off oilfrom goods for welders to perform good welds, using hand tool to grind offexcess material, light cleaning/polishing/grinding of welded parts to preparefor packing)
• Assist with packing of goods for delivery
• Assist with keeping track of welding consumables and inform whensupplies are low (E.g Welding rod, welding torch accessories)
• Basic front of house management (Keep workshop tidy, communicatewith walk in customers)

Key Criteria:

• Able to meet timelines as scheduled by supervisor
• Able to be organised and prioritise tasks according to workload
• Responsible and hardworking individual, able to perform theirassigned tasks to the required standards

Qualifications:

• No prior experience is needed, on-the-job training will beprovided
• No formal qualification level required, as long as you arewilling to learn and responsible to meet timelines/output standards
• Fluency in English is required, having basic communicationskills in Mandarin is a plus point

Other Related Information:

• Working hours: Flexible 4.5 days (1 weekday off, Saturday halfday) or 5.5 days options (Mon - Fri, Saturday half day)
• OT pay will be provided if work hours exceed normal contractedtime
