Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the transport team, ensuring high performance and meeting KPI and service delivery levels, driving overall Singapore Transport agenda in line with Cluster & Regional strategy.
  • Oversee the planning, execution and smooth running of transport fleet operations, ensure all operational requirements are delivered to target, including time, costs and quality.
  • Grow transport business and successfully implement projects timely and within budget.
  • Operational design and costing of solutions.
  • Operational improvements by using Operation Maturity Model, Performance Dialogue, Lean, Gemba and other improvement methodologies.
  • Build world-class Control Tower and lead team.
  • Close collaboration and operational optimization with other SEA Transport organizations
  • Full P&L responsibility for Transport business.
  • Delivery of transformational, organic growth, winning significant additional new customers.
  • Manage all customer relations and ensuring highest satisfaction levels
  • Manage supplier/ asset management and contracts
  • Compliance with all statutory and company policies on H&S, security, quality and environmental issues
  • Team performance & development through coaching, performance management, talent management and succession planning
Requirements
  • Degree in Logistics or Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Min 10 yrs in operational role with P&L responsibilities
  • Record of delivering against targets
  • Knowledge of overall Singapore logistics market, specifically in the transport sector
  • Creditable senior leader with experience of in-house and sub-contracted transport operations
  • Experience in both transport & network optimization as well as in warehouse processes
  • Proficient in TMS
  • Business development track record in particular with large multinationals
  • Commercial acumen and contractual negotiation skills
  • Excellent Project Management Skills (DePICT)
  • Proven track record in supporting and managing complex change-management programs & projects
