Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the transport team, ensuring high performance, meeting KPIs and service delivery levels, and driving the overall Singapore Transport agenda in line with Cluster & Regional strategies.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and smooth operation of transport fleet activities, ensuring all operational requirements are met, including time, cost, and quality targets.
  • Grow the transport business and successfully implement projects on time and within budget.
  • Design operational solutions and perform costing analyses.
  • Implement operational improvements using models like Operation Maturity, Performance Dialogue, Lean, Gemba, and other methodologies.
  • Build a world-class Control Tower and lead the team.
  • Collaborate closely with other SEA Transport organizations to optimize operations.
  • Maintain full P&L responsibility for the Transport business.
  • Drive transformational growth and acquire significant new customers.
  • Manage customer relationships to ensure high satisfaction levels.
  • Oversee supplier and asset management, including contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, security, quality, and environmental policies and regulations.
  • Develop team performance through coaching, performance management, talent development, and succession planning.
Requirements
  • Degree in Logistics, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 15 to 20 years in operational roles with P&L responsibilities.
  • Proven track record of achieving targets.
  • Knowledge of the Singapore logistics market, especially in transport.
  • Senior leadership experience in both in-house and outsourced transport operations.
  • Experience in transport and network optimization, as well as warehouse processes.
  • Proficiency in TMS systems.
  • Business development experience, particularly with large multinationals.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Experience managing complex change management programs and projects.
