Job description

What you will do:

The General Manager, Regional Sales role will be responsible for leading the business growth of the company's HVAC Products and Services across SEA Countries, Australia, and New Zealand. This includes developing and managing the Annual Business Plan, Monthly Action Plan, building the Sales team, channel network development, and performance review & reward systems in your territory. The role involves leading both direct and channel sales teams for strategic planning and agile execution, collaborating with leaders from Product BUs, R&D, Manufacturing, Commercial Operations (COD), and other functional teams. You will be tasked with achieving aggressive sales targets aligned with the company's 5-year ambitions, while ensuring a satisfactory P&L outcome each year.

How you will do it:

  1. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with Strategy and BU teams to optimize the business portfolio and evolve the business, including market positioning, customer segmentation, product and business model diversification, roadmaps, sales and channel planning, processes, policies, resource allocation, and team capability development.
  2. Plan Execution: Take responsibility for the annual Business Plan, including P&L targets, priorities, action plans, and resource planning. Focus on team development, customer engagement, market promotion, channel management, sales activities, and customer satisfaction.
  3. Customer Focus: Develop deep insights into customer demands and movements. Build professional relationships with high-level stakeholders across B2B, B2B2C, government, industry associations, EPCs, and eco-partners. Lead efficient actions with sales teams, technical engineers, channel partners, contractors, and service providers to maximize customer value through our products, solutions, and services.
  4. People Management: Plan, recruit, develop, enable, assess, and motivate sales team members to achieve high productivity and higher-margin business. Provide consistent guidance, coaching, and performance reviews through regular meetings, including kickoff, mid-year, quarterly, and monthly reviews, as well as one-on-one sessions and opportunity/risk assessments.
  5. High Performance Culture: Drive better team results as the owner of Regional Sales through strong leadership and collaboration with functional leaders, fostering a high-performance environment for broader organizational success.
  6. Internal Alignment: Work closely with Product BUs, R&D, Manufacturing, COD, and Marketing to strengthen product portfolios, optimize COGS, reduce lead times, and enhance marketing effectiveness.
  7. Compliance: Ensure full compliance with company policies while achieving growth targets in SEA & Pacific regions.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher, preferably in HVAC engineering or a related field.
  • Over 15 years of work experience, including at least 5 years managing sizable teams.
  • Proven track record of leading Direct Sales and Channel Sales for over 5 years.
  • Extensive experience in HVAC/Heating & Cooling industry with strong connections to market stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and at C-levels externally.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to drive efficient sales processes.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to meet business and team development goals.
