About the Restaurant
We are a small ground up/start up company looking to grow the business with likeminded people who shares our values and believes in our vision/mission.
Mahmud's Tandoor started as a HBB, has periodically grown to a 3 story shop house in Arab Street. While it started off as only selling tandoori chicken burgers, it has now evolve to helming a sister brand called The Balcony within it's space which aims to be a gathering place for businesses, entrepreneurs, and the community.
We operate within one current outlet in Arab Street only.
General Manager Skillset required:
- Independent enough to self learn tools and pick up skills himself/herself along the way to get the job done
- Feels for the mission/vision and enjoys working with founders
Job scope (but not limited to):
- Daily Operations Management: Working closely with Kitchen Manager and supervisor to oversee all daily activities within the space, including opening and closing procedures, operational set up requirements for the sister brand “the Balcony”
- Staff Management: Hiring, training, and supervising F&B staff, including scheduling via staffany, performance management, and providing feedback and coaching. Professional development, evaluating performance.
- Menu Development and Implementation: Collaborating with owners to create and implement appealing menus, considering cost, availability, and customer preferences.
- Inventory and Cost Control: Managing food and beverage inventory, minimizing waste, and optimizing costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Vendor Relationships: Working closely with Kitchen Manager to build and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality and competitive pricing.
- Financial Management: Managing budgets, monitoring sales, and analysing financial data to ensure profitability.
- Business Development: Collaborate with owners to develop and execute business strategies aligned with company goals and market demands. Define, monitor, and achieve KPIs, driving market expansion and operational improvements.
- Customer Service: Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing complaints, resolving issues, and providing excellent service.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Work closely with Kitchen Manager to enforce health and safety regulations in all F&B outlets, including proper food handling and storage.
- Training and Development: Developing and implementing training programs for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge, ensuring service excellence.
- Compliance with Regulations: Work closely with Kitchen Manager to Ensure adherence to all relevant food and beverage laws and regulations.
