Designation: General Manager – Computers
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be managing and facilitating smooth functioning of the overall day-to-day business operations in the Computers & Communications Department. You shall be accountable for the overall Profit & Loss of the computers business.
Responsibilities:
The role is to identify new business opportunities, recommend on future plans, and maximize overall revenue through forecasting and strategic planning. The strategic planning and the implementation of goals and objectives are to align with company directions set by MD/COO.
Responsible for driving the Computers business to achieve surplus sales, profitability, cash flow, and business goals and objectives.
Work closely with Marketing and E-Commerce on driving weekly/monthly promotions activities for retail business.
The role includes and is not limited to coaching, counselling, maintaining and improving established quality standards; imparting company values and work attitude to inculcate a cohesive work environment and creating an atmosphere in which employees willingly produce at maximum capacity to achieve company’s goals.
Holds weekly managers’ meetings to plan, strategize, and discuss sales/inventory/store related matters as well as any changes in products, i.e. new products, products discontinued, prices, new promotions, and operational efficiency.
Lead, inspire, and coach a team of high calibre professionals, creating succession planning.
Monitor Inventory: Keep track of computers items in stock and place restock orders as needed to ensure that there is adequate inventory on hand to meet the needs of customers.
Plan store layout, merchandise, and displays to simplify customer shopping and promote products.
Oversee daily omni-channel operations and deliver exceptional customer experience, in-store and online.
Manage relationships with vendors.
Ensure full compliance with all required local regulations and corporate requirements and uphold standards of excellence.
Assist in other ad-hoc duties that may be assigned by Management from time to time.
