Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Business Development General Manager with proven track record specifically within the construction, renewable energy and real estate sectors of Asia region and particularly in Korea and Japan.

This role is ideal for a commercially driven person with strong technical and multi-lingual capability to support our expansion plans across Asia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong networks within Asia in particular, South Korea and Japan for EPC, infrastructure and green energy projects

• Coordinate cross-border approvals and permits, leveraging deep understanding of regulatory frameworks not restricted to Korea, Japan and other Asia countries

• Identify project financing and other related business opportunities

• Lead business development efforts in support of EPC, infrastructure and green energy projects

• Represent the company in industry exhibitions and related working groups

• Monitor geopolitical, policy, and regulatory updates affecting Asia countries in particular, South Korea and Japan which will impact regional investment opportunities

• Support project bidding and negotiation processes by translating technical and commercial documents (KOR/ENG/JPN)

• Support property management initiatives for affiliate real estate assets in Asia

• Collaborate with Seoul headquarters and regional teams to align strategic objectives and report on market intelligence, with focus on South Korea and Japan

Requirements:

• Minimum 15 years’ experience in business development, project development, or commercial roles, with direct exposure to mega Infrastructure / building projects in South Korea and/or Japan.

• Master’s Degree in Architectural Engineering or related discipline. Post-graduate certification in Business Administration will be an added advantage.

• Fluency in both Korean and Japanese is highly preferred due to the need for swift contract reviewing, proposal and translation where the original contract and manual are in native languages such as Korean and Japanese where applicable.

• Strong background in handling construction, energy, or engineering projects, including exposure to EPC, and project finance stages.

• Demonstrated success in engaging senior stakeholders across government and private sectors.

• Ability to work independently and manage cross-border projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent presentation, proposal writing, and stakeholder negotiation skills.

• 6-day work week with extended hours including public holidays as business needs dictate.

• Standby and responsive to urgent communications and tasks across Korea/Japan/Singapore time zones after official working hours
