Job summary

I BEST CONSTRUCTION & TRADING PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a seasoned Construction Operations Manager to oversee construction activities, projects, and day-to-day operations.

You will plan, coordinate, monitor schedules and resources, supervise project managers and site personnel, and ensure compliance with drawings, specs and safety standards.

Engage with clients and authorities, manage costs and procurement, and support tendering and business development to drive project success.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, Building, Facilities Management or a related field.
• Relevant experience in construction project management and operations.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Knowledge of workplace safety and relevant construction requirements in Singapore.

Responsibilities

Job description

Oversee and manage the company’s construction operations, projects, and day-to-day activities. Plan, coordinate, and monitor construction projects from commencement through completion. Develop project schedules, manpower requirements, work plans, and resource allocation. Supervise project managers, site supervisors, engineers, subcontractors, and site personnel. Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities. Monitor project progress, quality standards, costs, and contractual requirements. Ensure construction works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements. Implement and maintain workplace safety, risk management, and quality-control procedures. Review project budgets, quotations, variation orders, procurement requirements, and cost performance. Identify operational issues and coordinate timely corrective actions to minimise project delays. Manage subcontractors and suppliers and ensure that works are completed according to agreed schedules and standards. Review project documentation, progress reports, site records, and completion documents. Support business development by evaluating new construction opportunities and assisting with tenders and quotations. Provide management with regular updates on project performance, manpower, costs, risks, and operational matters. Ensure compliance with applicable Singapore construction, workplace safety, employment, and regulatory requirements. Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the management.

Requirements

Diploma/Degree or relevant qualification inConstruction, Civil Engineering, Building, Facilities Management, or a relatedfield.
