The General Manager is responsible for the effective operation, profit and loss, and implementation of business strategies for the growth of Tanglin Corporation Pte Ltd.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead Department Heads to develop, implement and monitor strategies, business plans and objectives to ensure business growth and continuity.
  • Manage overall budget with profit and loss responsibility.
  • Develop industry relationships to leverage business opportunities.
  • Responsible for overall operations with focus on process efficiency and value effectiveness.
  • Lead, develop and motivate employees to meet business objectives and provide them with professional learning and growth opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with company and external regulatory standards.
  • Lead, guide and empower team in the continuous improvement of operations flow, resource deployment and processes to drive sustainable productivity and profitability.
  • Identify opportunities and segments to grow and expand business.
  • Inspire, lead and implement a workplace culture which promotes the motivation, development and retention of employees.

Job Requirements

  • At least a degree in business management or relevant discipline from recognized university.
  • With at least 10 years of relevant and proven work experience in driving P&L, implementation of effective business strategies that chart the growth of the business and propel positive productivity of business operations in SME setup.
  • Possess excellent understanding on the business value chain, business trends/situations and the running of business operations within the construction industry.
  • Possess excellent leadership skills, change management skills, communication skills, interpersonal skills, business and financial acumen and business networks.
  • Candidate is someone who is highly driven, focused, resourceful, resilient and able to bring and lead the management team in driving the business objectives.
