Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate General Manager to lead the operations of a premium F&B concept-featuring a modern lounge and wine bar experience. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, business-savvy, and capable of managing a high-performance team while maintaining exceptional service standards, profitability, and brand reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Operations

  • Oversee daily F&B lounge/wine bar operations, including opening/closing procedures, floor management, and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen, bar, and service staff.
  • Monitor inventory levels, purchasing, and supplier relationships to ensure cost efficiency and quality control.

2. Team Leadership & Staff Management

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and lead a motivated service and kitchen team.
  • Conduct regular staff briefings, appraisals, and performance evaluations.
  • Create a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and growth.

3. Customer Experience

  • Ensure excellent guest service and personalized experiences for clientele.
  • Handle VIP customers, reservations, complaints, and special requests professionally.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the floor and engage with guests regularly.

4. Financial Management

  • Manage budgeting, sales forecasts, cost control, and profitability metrics (e.g., food & beverage cost, labor cost).
  • Analyse P&L statements, implement revenue-boosting strategies, and optimize expenses.
  • Prepare and submit reports to the owner/director on performance and targets.

5. Sales & Marketing

  • Work with the marketing team to plan and execute promotions, events, wine tastings, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Develop collaborations with wine suppliers, local influencers, or partner brands to enhance visibility.
  • Monitor and respond to online reviews, social media, and reservation platforms.

6. Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure adherence to NEA, SFA, liquor licensing, fire safety, and workplace health regulations.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and service quality.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of F&B or hospitality management experience, preferably in upscale dining, lounges, or wine bars.
  • Proven leadership in managing teams and achieving business goals.
  • Solid knowledge of wines, cocktails, and fine dining service standards.
  • Strong financial acumen and P&L management experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and public holidays as required.
