Job description

Business Operations & Management

  • Lead and manage daily operations of the timber wholesale business across procurement, sales, and logistics.
  • Ensure operational efficiency, cost control, and compliance with relevant laws and safety regulations.
  • Oversee stock management including inventory levels, quality control, and warehouse coordination.

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth in local and overseas markets.
  • Identify and secure new clients, while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers and suppliers.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and trade terms with buyers and suppliers.

Strategic Planning

  • Plan and implement business strategies to improve market share, profitability, and competitive position.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform business decisions.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and performance reports.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop a team across sales, operations, and administration functions.
  • Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular staff training, performance appraisals, and succession planning.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all trading, shipping, and warehousing activities comply with regulatory and environmental requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for import/export processes, customs clearance, and audit purposes.

Requirements

  • Any Bachelor’s Degree and above.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of managerial experience in timber, wood products, or related trading industries
  • Strong knowledge of timber grading, sourcing, logistics, and international trade practices
  • Proven leadership, negotiation, and business development skills
  • Excellent in writing and communication skills in English and Indonesian as to communicate with Indonesian’s Stakeholder.
