Roles and Responsibilities:
Strategic Regional Business Planning
- Formulate and execute mid-term and long-term business strategies in alignment with Japan HQ’s policies, directives, and operational standards.
- Set and commit to annual revenue and profit targets as instructed by Japan HQ.
- Translate and adapt Japan HQ’s business strategies and product positioning for seamless integration into regional markets.
Market Expansion
- Lead the identification and development of regional business opportunities by conducting comprehensive market, customer, and competitor analyses in the automotive, semiconductor, and general electronics sectors to drive business expansion.
- Work closely with HQ in Japan to identify targeted customers in Asia and develop purchase plan, marketing and promotional strategies for industrial solutions products.
- Actively seek for the latest knowledge and technologies in metrology and inspection from Japan, East Asia, the Americas, Europe, and other regions.
- Collaborate with internal and cross-functional departments to drive sales initiatives, support market development, and facilitate the promotion of new product opportunities.
- Provide guidance to marketing agent on how to utilize the existing marketing contacts and media channels from HQ to consolidate marketing information for automotive customers.
- Build and nurture relationships with key clients, distributors, and industry partners to propose solutions to all customers and drive business growth.
- Lead and support community engagement programs to enhance the company’s brand image and increase market awareness and recognition.
Profitability & Performance Monitoring
- Monitor profitability by region and product, taking necessary actions to improve profit margins.
- Lead and oversee daily business operations, including sales, marketing, and logistics.
- Strengthen compliance frameworks in the area of personal data protection and governance, ensure effective communication and implementation of compliance standards tailored to regional requirements across to all employees and distributors.
- Resolve issues that may arise between markets and sales channels, ensuring continuity of business operations and successful achievement of organizational objectives.
Talent Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across the region.
- Effectively delegate tasks within the team, assess and identify opportunities for improvement or process optimization, and implement new workflows to ensure operational excellence.
- Provide regular training and coaching to enhance product knowledge and professional skills.
Business Reporting
- Serve as the primary liaison between regional teams and Japan HQ, facilitate daily communication and reporting, prepare and deliver reports and proposals to Japan HQ and regional management.
- Communicate business progress, key achievements, and market insights clearly and effectively to all stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Engineering, or a related fields.
- Minimum 15 years of regional sales planning and marketing experience in Industrial Solutions industry.
- Possesses specialized knowledge of industrial solutions industry’s operations, sales strategies and product portfolios (industrial metrology, measurement and inspection products) including import / export transaction.
- Excellent communication skill to communicate with Japan HQ and all business stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to create and executive business plans and drive results.
- Solid understanding of key business functions, including accounting, finance, human resources, legal affairs, and compliance.
- Strong ability to navigate and ensure compliance with corporate policies, local and regional laws in diverse and unique business environments across the region.
- Critical and logical thinking combined with strong analytical capabilities.
- Exceptional negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel regionally and internationally as required.
