Qualifications

• 5+ years in refined products research or market analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, or related quantitative field.
• Strong knowledge of APAC and ME gasoline markets (octane grades, blendstocks).
• Proficient in Excel for building market balances.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
• Experience publishing independent market research notes and directional market views.
• Familiarity with Chinese regulatory policies or export quota mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Drive regional market analysis for East of Suez gasoline markets; link vessel flows, refinery runs, inventory shifts, blending economics, and pricing signals into market views.
• Evaluate key supply and demand drivers across Asia and Middle East; analyze export quotas and regional capacity.
• Author high-impact research publications; write market reports, insights, and actionable trade recommendations with evidence-based conclusions.
• Track policy and infrastructure changes like regulations, duties, or octane specifications and assess impact on flows.
• Audit cargo movements and blendstock flows by cross-validating vessel tracking and refinery data.
• Lead client engagement: present regional market views at conferences and webinars; assist pre-sales discussions.
