Job summary
YTL PowerSeraya is seeking a commercially driven Assistant Manager / Manager, Gas Commercial to support long-term gas procurement, LNG market intelligence, portfolio optimisation and commercial strategy in Singapore's energy landscape.
The role requires strong commercial judgement, analytical capability and negotiation skills, with engagement across EMA, GasCo, LNG suppliers, and internal teams to secure reliable gas supply for generation portfolios.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, Finance, Energy, or related.
Responsibilities
- Match LNG and piped natural gas supply to plant needs.
- Analyse pricing formulae, take-or-pay, curtailment, and delivery terms.
- Support portfolio optimisation across term and spot supply.
- Prepare internal papers, market updates and negotiation positions.
- Develop long-term gas procurement plans and risk analysis.
- Collaborate with legal, finance, operations, and regulatory teams.
- Engage with EMA and GasCo on regulatory processes.
- Negotiate and review spot and term gas contracts.
- Build relationships with LNG suppliers and traders.
- Track LNG benchmarks and price indices.
- Evaluate alternative procurement strategies.
