Job summary

Tencent Games seeks a data scientist/analyst in Singapore to analyze large-scale datasets, build ML-driven solutions, and derive actionable insights for gaming products and player communities.

You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to design data-driven strategies, develop data pipelines, and stay ahead with AI/LLM techniques tailored to gaming applications. Strong Python/SQL skills required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an MS or PhD in a quantitative discipline.
• Experience in statistical analysis and A/B experiments.
• Experience building data products and ML systems on large datasets preferred.
• Proficient in Python and SQL; knowledge of AI/LLM is a plus.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, execution, and business sense.
• Passionate about games; FPS/TPS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large-scale datasets to solve business and technical challenges in gaming through analytics, forecasting, ML, recommender systems, experimentation, and econometrics.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to develop data-driven strategies and implement solutions that enhance business value.
• Deliver actionable business insights to internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain robust data scraping and collection pipelines (web crawling, API ingestion, data wrangling) to gather competitive intelligence, market signals, and player/community data at scale.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science, ML, and generative AI, utilizing these technologies to innovate in gaming applications.
• Engage in technical knowledge sharing, documentation, and cross-team collaboration.
