Job summary

FPT Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable digital platforms for government and partners. You will work in the Portal team on full-stack development, API integration, search, CMS, and AI-assisted workflows.

You will collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to translate business needs into robust technical solutions, while ensuring high availability, security, and optimal user experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/IT or related field.
• 5+ years professional software engineering experience.
• Strong full-stack web development experience with modern frontend tech.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Experience with React/Angular/Vue.js and backend API design.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing digital platforms.

You will be part of the Developer Productivity & Services (Portal) team, responsible for building and enhancing platforms that enable government agencies, developers, and technology partners to discover, evaluate, and adopt digital products and services.

The role involves full-stack development, API integration, search capabilities, content management systems, and AI-assisted engineering workflows to improve developer productivity and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

Full Stack Development & Platform Engineering

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable web applications.
• Build and integrate frontend and backend services, APIs, content management systems, and search capabilities.
• Develop reusable components and services to improve system integration and development efficiency.
• Implement API versioning, error handling, automated testing, and technical documentation.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate software delivery while maintaining code quality.

Product Development & User Experience

• Develop and enhance digital portals, documentation platforms, and dashboards.
• Implement product discovery features, including search, filtering, recommendations, and navigation.
• Integrate shared services such as product catalogues, subscriptions, and onboarding workflows.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Improve platform usability, accessibility, and overall user experience.

System Reliability & DevOps

• Ensure high availability, scalability, security, and resilience of applications.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance optimization.
• Develop and maintain automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve system performance.
• Apply engineering best practices to maintain software quality and reliability.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with cross-functional engineering, product, and design teams.
• Support technical discussions, system integrations, and solution design.
• Gather user feedback and identify opportunities for platform improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
• Maintain clear technical documentation and development standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience in full-stack web application development.
• Proficiency in frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience in backend development and API design/integration.
• Experience with Node.js and TypeScript is advantageous; other backend technologies are also welcome.
• Good understanding of software architecture, system design, and scalable application development.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and production support.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Good communication, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience mentoring developers and promoting engineering best practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with search technologies, content management systems, or knowledge platforms.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code.
• Experience building developer portals, documentation platforms, or shared platform services.
• Knowledge of observability, service-level objectives (SLOs), and application performance monitoring.
• Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
