Job summary

Citi in Singapore is seeking a hands-on engineer to implement FX trading systems and collaborate with FX Technology to deliver business-benefiting solutions. You will drive system architecture, work with end-users, and ensure adherence to Citi policies while refining procedures and maintaining filings.

You will contribute to best practices, collaborate with sales, trading and product teams, and stay ahead of industry trends through hands-on engineering and deep product/code analysis.

Qualifications

• Proven understanding of FX (highly preferred)
• Understanding of low-latency development practices
• Proven track record of building new systems, replacing legacy systems, and renovating existing systems
• Systems (software, hardware, networks) knowledge required to define solutions and troubleshoot issues
• Exceptional communicator who loves working with people, confident communicating at all levels from individual team to the entire enterprise
• Hands-on engineer comfortable deep-diving into a product and codebase for detailed feedback
• Awareness of industry trends and leveraging new technologies as appropriate

Responsibilities

• Hands on technical implementation of FX trading systems
• Work with teams across FX Technology to implement solutions that benefit the business
• Drive the design and development of system architecture, work with end-users of the systems, and enhance the quality of deliverables; ensure staff follows Citi documented policy and procedures, maintain desktop procedures, and support filings on a current basis in a comprehensive manner
• Contribute to defining and implementing best practices and processes for the department and ensure transparency and consistency across teams
• Work directly with sales, trading and product teams
