Job summary

A leading financial institution in Singapore is seeking a Funds Specialist to provide product expertise and advisory support on collective investment schemes. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in fund research and a strong understanding of compliance frameworks. Key responsibilities include conducting due diligence on funds, preparing investment recommendations, and supporting relationship managers in client meetings. Competitive compensation will be offered.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in fund research, product specialist, or investment advisory roles.
  • Strong knowledge of asset allocation strategies and investment products across asset classes.
  • Strong understanding of compliance, product governance and suitability frameworks.

The Funds Specialist will be responsible for providing product expertise and advisory support on collective investment schemes across client segments. The role involves product due diligence, fund selection, performance monitoring and acting as a subject matter expert on fund solutions to relationship managers, investment advisors and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research and due diligence on mutual funds, hedge funds, and other collective investment schemes.
  • Curate and maintain the approved fund list, ensuring compliance with internal product governance and regulatory standards
  • Prepare product notes, fund recommendations, and investment commentaries for both internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Monitor fund performance, track market developments, and provide regular updates on positioning
  • Support relationship managers and advisors in client meetings, acting as a subject matter expert on fund solutions
  • Liaise with external fund hourses, product providers and internal governance teams.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics or related discipline; CFA/CAIA preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in fund research, product specialist, or investment advisory roles
  • Strong knowledge of asset allocation strategies and investment products acrss asset classes
  • Excellent analytical, presentation and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of compliance, product governancec and suitability frameworks
