The role

The Funds Audit Manager is responsible for managing and leading audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, particularly in the funds sector. The role involves strategic planning, review and oversight of audit projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and delivering high-quality audit services. The role requires strong leadership and team management skills, the ability to build and maintain client relationships, and a commitment to providing value-added insights and solutions. The role also includes contributing to the growth and development of the audit practice through business development activities and staying abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage audit engagements, particularly in the funds sector, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Develop and implement audit strategies tailored to client requirements.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor junior audit staff, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Review and approve audit plans, workpapers, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with professional standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and industry trends.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the main point of contact and providing proactive advice and solutions.
  • Ensure timely delivery of audit reports and financial statements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide comprehensive services to clients.
  • Manage client billing and ensure adherence to budget and timelines.
  • Monitor industry trends and changes in regulations, adapting audit practices accordingly.

Qualifications and skills
