Fund Administrator (Private Asset Fund, Japanese speaking) - Vice President

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Fund Administrator with expertise in asset management to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in private credit, be fluent in Japanese, and possess strong communication and project management skills. Candidates from Big 4 firms, fund administration houses, asset managers, and commercial banks are encouraged to apply.

Job responsibilities:

• Oversee fund administration operations, including NAV calculations, investor reporting, and compliance monitoring
• Work closely with internal teams and external service providers to ensure smooth fund operations
• Support fund structuring, financial reporting, and tax compliance
• Manage capital calls, distributions, and investor queries in an efficient manner
• Assist in investment operations, including cash flow management and reconciliation
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Provide support for audits and due diligence processes
• Contribute to process improvements and technology enhancements to optimize fund administration
• Contribute to increase sales by providing customer service work

Job requirements:

• Fluency in Japanese (spoken and written) is must to interact with Japanese speaking stakeholders
• Prior experience in asset management (fund administration, middle/back-office, or related roles)
• Private credit experience is preferred but not mandatory
• Strong understanding of fund structures, financial reporting, and compliance requirements
• Proven project management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Background from Big 4, fund administration houses, asset managers, commercial banks is a plus
