Functional Support Engineer (Trading Application)

Job Description:

Responsibilities of the position :

Reporting to the Group Application Manager, you will provide technical assistance and support for software applications and systems, ensuring optimal functionality and user satisfaction. This role involves troubleshooting issues, maintaining systems, and assisting users with technical problems. The ideal candidate will work with a very diverse application landscape like trading platform, customer portal, mobile application, ERP (SAP), custom MES and other internal applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the proper running state of the trading platform, customer portal, MES application and other internal applications, along with all related components.
• Act as the first technical point of contact for Asian internal and external customers and collaborators, providing support level 1-3.
• Monitor orders and trading flow, ensuring the full integrity of the order book between the trading platform and ERP. Maintain trading flow master data and databases.
• Troubleshoot errors, debug, and correct orders and database records in various systems (trading, DB, ERP, MES).
• Monitor infrastructure composed of SAAS products, network, servers and databases. Troubleshoot outages and coordinate proper resolution with different partners.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to investigate complex data flows between systems and different technologies.
• Solid experience in relational databases (SQL) and no-SQL databases (Mongo). Proficient in performing CRUD operations in admin consoles and executing advanced queries.
• Experience in SAP and knowledge of the FIX protocol would be a plus.
• Comfortable with complex infrastructure deployment and systems (servers and network), with the ability to analyze component failures and operate or coordinate resolution in admin consoles.
• Understanding of financial markets and trading flows would be a plus.
• Stress-resistant with strong interpersonal skills.
• Curious, autonomous, and eager to learn and progress in a fast-changing environment.
