Our client, a well-established global corporate bank, is expanding its regional technology hub and seeks an experienced Functional Analyst to optimize cash management and payment orchestration across APAC. You will bridge business stakeholders, operations, and external vendors to ensure resilient, scalable, and compliant systems.

Responsibilities include end-to-end systems analysis, designing robust workflows, managing cross-border interfaces, and governing UAT, testing, and production

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of business or functional analysis experience in financial services.
• Deep knowledge of corporate cash management, treasury services, and payment orchestration.
• Familiarity with APAC clearing rails (FAST, MEPS+, CHATS, RTGS) and ISO 20022.
• Experience managing external vendors in an Agile environment.
• Strong analytical problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Business Analysis certification or banking operations experience is a plus.

Our client, a well-established global corporate bank, is expanding its regional technology hub and looking for an experienced Functional Analyst. Sitting within the core IT division, this role focuses on transforming and optimizing cash management and payment orchestration systems across the Asia Pacific region. You will act as the critical bridge between business stakeholders, operational teams, and external technical vendors to ensure systems are resilient, scalable, and fully compliant with regional regulatory standards.

Key Focus Areas

• Systems & Workflow Design: Spearhead end-to-end systems analysis for domestic and cross-border cash management products. You will translate complex business requirements into robust technical workflows that elevate user experience and operational processing.
• Integration & Architecture: Map out and maintain complex data interfaces connecting the bank’s core platforms with external networks, including regional clearing houses, partner banks, and third-party service providers.
• Vendor & Technical Steering: Drive the technical delivery process with external vendors. This includes authoring precise User Stories, running grooming sessions, evaluating vendor architectural designs, and signing off on functional specifications.
• Release & Quality Champion: Oversee the full testing and deployment lifecycle. You will define UAT strategies, investigate SIT defects, coordinate regression and penetration testing, and orchestrate smooth production go-lives alongside business users.
• Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute to product innovation, system architecture enhancements, and defect reduction initiatives. You will also serve as a subject matter expert, mentoring junior analysts and sharing domain knowledge across the IT department.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience: 8 to 10 years of business or functional analysis experience within the financial services sector, specifically navigating complex, full-lifecycle IT projects.
• Domain Expertise: Deep technical and functional understanding of corporate cash management, treasury services, and payment orchestration.
• Regional Knowledge: Strong familiarity with APAC domestic and international clearing rails (e.g., FAST, MEPS+, CHATS, RTGS) as well as modern financial messaging standards (ISO 20022).
• Delivery Mindset: Proven ability to manage third-party vendors and external technical teams within an Agile/Iterative environment.
• Core Attributes: Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and the resilience to navigate high-pressure, fast-paced banking environments independently.
• Bonus: A formal Business Analysis certification or prior experience sitting within a banking Operations function will be highly regarded.
