Job description

Full Time Retail Cashier

Up to $2,400 per month

Working location: Multiple locations available

Working hours:
10:15 AM to 9:45 PM, 5-day work week including weekends & public holiday

Job Scope

• Collect and prepare cash float at shift start.
• Set up cashier counter and ensure correct item scanning and pricing.
• Handle cash and non-cash transactions (e.g. NETS, credit cards) accurately.
• End shift by counting cash, completing forms, and handing over to Duty Manager.
• Keep counter stocked with bags, slips, and other essentials.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the cashier area.
• Assist customers with queries and support stocktaking when needed.
• Upsell products at the counter and recommend add-on purchases.
• Help with promotions and product displays during sales events.
Perform other duties as assigned by Retail Manager or Assistant Manager

Requirements

• GCE ‘N’ / ‘O’ Level or equivalent.
• Retail/cashier experience preferred; 1 year ideal.
• Entry-level candidates with a good attitude welcome.
• Basic knowledge of math, accounting, or retail training is a plus.
• Accurate and careful with cash handling and documentation.
• Able to process cash, cards, and vouchers securely.
• Customer-focused and thrives in fast-paced retail settings.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
